Composed by Ned Rorem, “From an Unknown Past” is one of three Rorem works Anchorites performed on October 3, 2026, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Baltimore, alongside “Four Madrigals” and “Ode to Man”, as part of a program exploring Rorem’s underappreciated vocal ensemble music alongside fifteenth- and sixteenth-century repertoire.
